Selfless i helped

When no one else would

Know where it leads

Who ever could

The lights of life fell dim

I carried on

Without the name

Of a song gone wrong

I ran and ducked

Call it bad luck

But still completely stuck

People i loved

Pushed me aside

Like I'd done something wrong

On drugs and lied

With nowhere to run

And nowhere to hide

A slither of wisdom arrived

As the door opened

I looked inside

There i found love and hope to survive

From one good deed

I found some pride

The more i did, the more i thrived

A word appeared before my eye

That shaped my life

To alls surprise

Contribution took me on

Held me tight

When things seemed wrong

As my bucket emptied

From my runaway mind

Its contribution that fulfilled my life

Outside my head

With others in mind

Bad thoughts fade away

More and more over time

When you give yourself

To others untied

The results can change the world

And fill your bucket with pride
